About this game

WARNING: In this game about social interaction turns usually take A DAY OR MORE - not your average quick video game!

This is a digital version of the famous "Diplomatic" board game.

It pits players against each other on a political stage where only a combination of strategy and social influence bring you victory. A mix of Risk, Poker, Chess and Rock-Paper-Scissors, it was supposedly the favourite game of John Kennedy and Henry Kissinger.

We create and maintain this game in our spare time. If you have
- Problems, questions or comments
- Ideas or other suggestions.
- Topics to discuss with other players.

send them to diplicity-talk@googlegroups.com.

Features:
* Bring your diplomacy. Without diplomacy victory is impossible. It's the name of the game.
* Access from both Android or any other device (via www.diplicity.com) - play with your iOS friends!
* Beautiful, vector based maps with zooming, panning and touch to enter orders.
* Unlimited games with your friends or random players around the world.
* Order validation explaining why orders fail or not
* Message other players in the game.
* Variants: Fleet Rome, Ancient Mediterranean, Youngstown Redux and more!
* Create and configure your own games and invite your friends.
* Matchmaking: Filter on players on your skill or reliability level.
* Notifications for messages and new phases.
* History of all games to check the performance of friend and foe alike.

Note:
* Diplicity is based on a well known board game created by Calhamer, also based on diplomacy, which I am forbidden from explicitly naming in the Play store.
* If nobody commits in time or knows the rules make sure that you still commit your orders every turn. By building a good reliability score you'll be able to matchmake with more reliable players.
* Joining a game is serious. Players that abandons a game ruin it for the others. Please only join if you'll follow it through to the end.

This game has gotten very much better with the last update. Connectivity issues were fixed, and it is much better to play. I have only two things to change now: I would like if there was an alert to tell the player that the game had finished before you left, because right now it just closes the game when someone wins, and that's a bit confusing. Also, I noticed that if you are the last person to hit "RDY" and it goes to the next phase after you give the okay, you have to close the game out and reopen the game or even the app to get to the most recent version of the map. However, all is much better than before, good job guys!

- No connectivity issues were fixed to my knowledge :O - I'll try to replicate your issue, but I don't remember it happening to me? - Again, please send comments to diplicity-talk@googlegroups.com instead!

Fantastic way to play diplomacy on your phone. Lots of different variants and a nice matchmaking system are the two main highlights, but the ui is pretty good and the tutorial at the beginning is pretty great. Only issue with the game at the moment is the small player base; while the matchmaking is good, it doesn't work very well when only 10,000 people have downloaded the game EVER. The issue is more or less out of the devs' hands, but I look forward to seeing this grow to be properly playable.

Just yes. The graphics are great, incredibly small, well optimized game for even my potato of a phone. I honestly loved diplomocy, and this game brings all the charm with stunning graphics and makes it easy to invite your friends to play a game. The developer(S) though are incredible, they respond to basicially every review and want to IMPROVE their game. So damning rare now. Only issue is the blur when reviewing the map is excessive, perhaps there is a setting to remove the blur?

I'm so happy you love the game! Unfortunately the blur is one reason you are able to pan and zoom on a potato phone - without it the map would be incredibly slow, like swimming through molasses.
